never pass a pisser, never trust a fart, never waste a stiffy.

Full English x 2 (yum) and now taking in the air on deck. Booked into the Cinema at 3:30pm for Baby Driver. Great ship 🚢 – little cruise liner – lots going on including a Sleeping Beauty Panto this afternoon !!! Xxx
Awww- look at the poor little puddy 😐 – Dave couldn’t cope when the kids had caged hamsters so we upgraded to cats and a cat-flap as he said they were free to come & go… xxx
So just gone 7pm and still really warm – and not only is it my last bask in the sunshine ☀️ but (more worryingly) I’m on my last wine – look – the empty box of Muscadet is on the floor behind me…
Dave’s got some crap red that he said he was chucking – but hey – I have 7-Up and orange juice – so I feel a jug of sangria coming on – phew – thank God I’m resourceful in a crisis !!! 😂 Xxx
So sat in one of main drags opposite a little art market in front of the city wall – at Maison Hector.
Dave ordered a beer and I ordered 50cl of Breton Cidre – and this little ceramic jug and a matching tea cup turned up !!! Also 5 (was 6 but the waitress dropped one 😂) what looked like mini Yorkshire Puddings and some paste. It was like tuna mayo – yum !!!
Dave then ordered Moules Roquefort & Frites and I had a galette – which is basically a savoury pancake – and my filling was jambon, champignons & fromage with the customary “a Egg” in the centre – see below. I also had frites 🍟 – and it was all delicious 😋
Then I had an Earl Grey (they don’t seem to do English Breakfast Tea) and they served it in the cutest little cast iron kettle – see below…
Left the place STUFFED and was on a mission to get a little ceramic pitcher and 2 matching teacups – mission accomplished (no piccie as alll wrapped up)… xxx
So our last day – had breky outside and the peeps opposite had two little yippers – but they looked SO cute in his bicycle basket – awwww !!!
Had a shower, got ready and then the half hour short blast to St Malo on The Duke.
Had a wander around the bustling cobbled streets bursting with tourists, tat shops and bistros (many of the fishy variety)…
The cathedral was impressive – lit a candle, said a prayer and took a piccie…
Like Vannes, St Malo is also a walled city and that’s us up on the top of the wall admiring the view…
Lunch post to follow… xxx
Bonsoir mes amies !
So we packed up and left Les Madieres campsite and – as we leave from St Malo on Friday – headed east again. En-route we stopped for supplies at a supermarche and Dave took a photie of the public washer and dryer in the car park – see below !!!
As we were driving we also came across a small town (Marignon) but with a MASSIVE market – on seemingly every street !
As it was around lunchtime it was starting to pack up but we had a quick bib around – and I got a lovely teal-coloured biker jacket – see piccie – bargain 25 euros !!!
The initial campsite we drove to was full (but Dave was relieved as it was full of kids !!!) – we tried another – Le Pont Laurin – and they had space, it’s much nicer & quieter (must be getting old) and almost half-price !!!
Dave set up the canopy, table, chairs, etc. then had a little snooze while I knocked up tea and had a little sit in the sun with a wine (well I AM still on holiday !!!)
We had tea and went back to soak up the last few rays but Dave likes the shade – see his ingenious sun-shade – a towel pegged to the canopy 😂 Xxx
That’s it for now campers – more tomorrow when we bib off on The Duke to St Malo for more fun & frolicks !!!
Got back about 5pm and needed to wash pants & socks…
Now although this is not a traditional “sit by the pool & veg” holiday – the sun was still out so bibbed off to La Piscine for about an hour & a half & listened to music & had a cheeky wine…
Dave joined me for a bit but sat in the shade reading his MCN (Motor Cycle News) – see below…
I then tried to capture the sun on the pool (as it looked like stars to me – especially after the alcohol !!!) – I’m no David Bailey but here you go…

So we polished off the Kir Bretons, then had a wander along the front and went to a tat shop (got some Breton jewellery for my mum & me & also a fridge magnet for Aunty Et).
Then went to the place next door to where we had the Kir Bretons as it was more “restaurant-ey” and Dave had had Entrecôte (rare) with Bearnaise sauce and I had my usual (Poulet Maison Salade) avec un ouef !!!
Had a sparking Kir for aperitif, white wine with the meal and tea (pour moi) and cafe (pour Dave) after…
Yum – idyllic – very happy 😊 xxx
