Us Tea !!!

So I said I’d make Spanish omelette for tea (Maria – you’d have been proud of me – there were lots of leftovers and we just bought bread, chorizo and beans (but they weren’t REAL beans – the dirty French B’s) )  – anyway it was DELICIOUS – piccie below…  Also look at the pretty red and white lights that he decorated the front of The Van with…

AND whilst I was chopping the peppers, onions, chorizo & cheese, I said to My Dave to put a romantic message on our NEW (smaller A5) light box that we bought on the ferry ⛴ here – look what he put – well at least it’s got an emoticon !!! Xxx

Same Bus Stop, Same Campsite…

We THEN arrived at the same campsite (not SO much of a surprise as Dave entered the postcode of the site as we left the OTHER campsite !!!) as they came to in May.

It’s cute, has a really nice feel and is RIGHT on the beach…

It was supposed to hoik it down all day today so bonus that it was just cloudy…

More soon xxx

Who’d Have Thunk It ???

So today – as I said earlier – we stopped at McDonalds and as we pulled in, Dave was like “Can’t BELIEVE it – we (Mick, Dave & Paul on the bikes back in May) stopped at the EXACT same spot and Mick had a wee at the bus-stop !!!”

What are the chances and what are they like ??? Xxx

Thank Goodness For McDonalds !!!

So Dave was twittering last night that his phone had no service – I was initially OK but then also accepted a stupid auto-update and since this morning I am also without service.  So unable to make voice calls, use Google or ANYTHING 😞 !!!

Left Vannes – in The Van – at midday – and am now stopped en-route at a McDonalds – and they have wifi – yey !!!  Hence the update while Dave has gone from position 24 to position 7 in the queue for an online chat to “some muppet in India” who represents the Three mobile network…

He chatted to them last night and they said they were having issues – no kidding…

Anyway – the McDonalds we are in is like Argos – you go to one of the touch-screen stations to select your meal, pay and then they bring it over to you (but Dave didn’t trust them so we stood and waited at the till !!!)

Unfortunately McDonalds is no better in France than at home – poor service, rubbish outside and lukewarm food…

Ah well…

Three are saying (as they did last night) that it’s a 24 hour fix – yeah right – I won’t hold my breath… And Dave says the next campsite where we’re going had no wifi !!!

Ttfn xxx

Jade – Poor Little Thing…

So we were ALSO on the way back from the little drinkie – and we saw the TINIEST little kitten – 15 days old – the lovely lady we talked to (and was holding her) had found her in a bag and has now adopted her and named her Jade – awwww ❤️ Xxx

At Last We Know What It Is !!!

So we were on holiday LAST year in Corsica and then again THIS year and we KEEP seeing these (what looked like) triangular/cone-shaped towels for sale.  Being northern I thought they tea cosies (but the foreigners are crap and don’t drink tea so I thought this was why there was no holes for the handle and spout !!! 😂)

ANYWAY we were in Reception today paying the bill and I asked what they were for and they are circular towels (with a hook in the centre to hang them up) so we got one for the downstairs loo in The Van (not sure where the upstairs loo is !!!)

They clearly also double-up as a sun hat if you’re feeling unsociable !!!

Humbug Car

Well stayed on site today – lay-in, light breky then a swim in the pool followed by a shower.  Got ready, dried my hair and re-did my toes all at leisure – bliss !!!

Nice lunch at The Van, had a sunbathe and a snooze then went to pay the bill here (as moving on tomorrow) and outside reception there was a cute car – which Dave made me stand by and have a piccie – looks like a humbug sweetie to me !!!

Arvor Festival

So came back after the beach and had BBQ salmon, chicken AND sausages  (I know, I know…) followed by an apple doughnut (which I didn’t want to buy but Dave insisted and it wasn’t even very nice !!!) – then trundled back out on The Duke to town about 8:30pm for the festivities…

Firstly saw a street artist juggling and playing with fire 🔥 – then wandered on up to Le Jardin des Remparts where there was a show going on with everyone dressed up in Breton costume and doing dancing to bagpipe music !!!

We then joined the crowds lining the streets for the parade – which was basically more of the same but up close.  The music had a medieval / Celtic feel – and I found myself clapping along !!!

Dave took videos but they are too big to import into here so (because he’s clever !!!) he has uploaded them to You Tube.  The first one is only short and gives you a flavour of the music and the second one shows the dancing 💃 more…

THEN Bob and Betty next door at the campsite who told us about the festival (don’t know their real names) SAID that the fireworks 💥 were at midnight and it was about 11:15pm and we’d had enough so came back.  THEN we arrived back on the drive about 11:25pm and the bleeding fireworks started – for about 15 minutes…  Couldn’t see them – only hear them – bet they were good… 😔

Well that’s Bob and Betty off OUR Christmas 🎄 List 😂 Xxx
